Dolcette

Greetings my minions. Your overlord has yet another message =P

So I have been planning this for a while, but it has only been put into action (much like this blog). So drum roll please everyone…..

Me and my good friend BBJia have started a music group called Dolcette (pronounced /’dol.sɛt/). The origin of the name comes from the latin words Dolce, meaning sweet, and Dulcet, meaning a sweet, pleasant and melodious. So together, it can mean “a sweet and pleasant melody”. Perfect for a music group name, don’t you think? Now we have been planning this for…a good five months, give or take a few weeks. We’ve been through a few names, like Citrus^3, but those got boring pretty quickly. I think this one’s a keeper though!

Now the name came a little bit late. Currently. me and BBJia are already in the process of composing our first original. The instrumental is finished, but the melody and lyrics still have to be worked out. I’m quite excited to see how it turns out! I have a feeling that with the set of long weekends coming up, we may get it done and recorded within a few weeks. So keep in tune and I will keep you guys posted. We are also working on a couple covers. But everything recorded will be posted on our youtube channel at http://www.youtube.com/DolcetteMusic, as well as on here on my blog~ There isn’t anything on the channel yet, but I can promise you that there will be something worth looking at there in the possibly near future….I hope.

At this point, I’m not really sure how it’s going to turn out. Anything can happen. I have great trust in the equipment we are using, which is FL studio and the Blue Snowball Mic (c), but….not so much trust in my own voice. Haha~ I’m sure BBJia can carry anyways =P Just joking! No pressure on you Jia! But we aren’t using any other equipment, and we are letting the computer generate all of the parts. Just in case the music comes out a bit….robotic? Could you describe it like that? But that doesn’t matter, most music nowadays are all computer generated anyways. So I guess we really don’t have an excuse if it sounds bad.~

So stick around. Check out what we have when it comes out. But that’s all I got to say for now, thanks for reading guys!

Jellyfish out~
